Funeral Services for Mr. Alvin Lee Spearman, Sr., age 49, will be held Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at The Colonial Chapel of Sullivan Funeral Home with Interment to follow at Colonial Gardens Cemetery. A time of Visitation will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Sullivan Funeral Home in Marshall, TX.
Mr. Spearman was born April 30, 1971 in St John, Kansas to Alvin William Spearman, Sr. and Betty Lou Trax Spearman. He passed from this life February 7, 2021 in Longview, TX.
Mr. Spearman was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Brenda Spearman King. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 23 years, Jill Carter Spearman, his children, Jenny Spearman and husband Nick Brown, Alvin Lee “Ben” Spearman, Jr., and stepson, Colby Roddam; his siblings, Vickie Spearman Wigley, Alvin William “Bill” Spearman Jr., Pamela Spearman Smith and Rickey Spearman, and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and cherished friends. Alvin Lee Spearman, Sr. is dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
Mr. Spearman was a kind and generous man, a true southern gentleman - who loved God. He grew up in Elysian Fields, TX and resided in the Tatum, TX area. He was an avid outdoorsman and cook. He loved hunting, fishing, and gardening. He loved camping and taking the kids out on the boat to tube and ski. He was an accomplished heavy equipment operator and CDL driver. He owned his own construction company for many years and had the pleasure of working and contracting with many companies in the East Texas area.
