Patricia Ann Dotson, beloved of her family, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at the age of 71. Patricia was born November 11, 1950 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Throughout her lifetime, she moved throughout Texas, living at different times in Forney, Marble Falls, and Nordheim. She married Bobby Dotson and had one daughter, Stephanie Hadley. Patricia worked for many years as a Commercial Title Examiner, most recently at First American Title Company, where she has been employed for the past fifteen years.
Patricia was much beloved of her family. She drew them to her because of her strength, and she kept them close because she cared, and they knew it. At times, when she moved to a new city, members of her family would migrate as well, to stay safely within her circle of care and strength.
She was more than a mother and sister and wife, she was a matriarch, a beacon for her loved ones. Throughout her life she gave so much to enrich and support the lives of those she cared for.
Even nearing her final days, her strength and wit did not dim, “Bury me deep, bury me cheap, and if it’s free, I’ll take it!” she told her friends and family. Patricia’s light is not extinguished with her passing-she will continue to be a guiding influence with the lasting impression she made while caring for her loved ones.
Patricia is preceded in death by one sister, Brenda Boykin. She is survived by so many who will continue to carry her memory close; her daughter, Stephanie Hadley; her grandchildren, Austin and Reagan Brown; sisters, Linda Pasch, Ranny Brown, Karen Main, Darla Dozier; her brother Delmer Hadley; as well as many nephews and nieces.
A funeral will be held Saturday, July 23, 2022 at the Mausoleum Chapel at Colonial Gardens Cemetery in Marshall, TX at 2:00 p.m.
